We digitized maps for Mott MacDonalds, in a Special Study on Drainage for the UP Sodic Land Reclamation Project headquartered at Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. Features digitized included all boundries, rivers, canals, rails and major roads.

Preparation of maps for Catholic Relief services, Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh), India.

CRS wanted to display progress of their project, location of education centers etc. on a map of Uttar Pradesh. We took an existing map of UP, geocoded their data onto the map and gave them this in record time.

Conversion of map of Capri Island, Italy for Caprionline.

We received the map as an Adobe Illustrator drawing. This drawing had to be converted into shape files.

The first step was to convert the .ai file into dxf so that it could be imported into our GIS software - . This step also involved seperating the components of the drawing into various layers that would be acceptable to GIS formats - Line, Poly and Points.

After this conversion, we had to geocode(link in) the names of various entities as metadata.

Conversion of map of Capri Island, Italy for Caprionline

Software design, customization and setup, and digitization of 800+ block maps for Family Welfare Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh, headquartered at Lucknow.

This project involved complete setup from scratch the Geographic Information System (GIS) for the Family Welfare department. We used our software - , which was customized to fit the requirements of the department.

The digitization efforts involved in this project were -

Digitize, clean and then build polygon topology for all village boundaries of Uttar Pradesh (there are around 100,000 villages in Uttar Pradesh) by block. Thus, each map of a block contains a hundred to five hundred villages(polygons), and there are 800 such maps.
Geocoding of data provided by the Family Welfare Department to the village polygons digitized.
